California Amends Required Whistleblower Notice Rules

Under Assembly Bill 2299, new requirements and compliance for the whistleblower protections notice go into effect on January 1, 2025.

This regulation requires the development of a model list of rights and responsibilities of employees under the law (to be created by the state Labor Commissioner). It also establishes that any employer posting the model list becomes compliant with the existing requirement to do so.

Watch the Labor Commissioner website for the upcoming model list of rights and responsibilities.
