Alaska Minimum Wage Increase

Voters in Alaska approved Ballot Measure 1, effectively increasing the minimum wage in the state. The current wage is $11.73 per hour. The Alaska Department of Labor reports that the rate will increase to $11.91, effective January 1, 2025.

Additionally, the ballot measure will increase it three times over the next two years, followed by annual adjustments for inflation.

  • July 1, 2025: Increase to $13.00 per hour
  • July 1, 2026: Increase to $13.00 per hour
  • July 1, 2027: Increase to $13.00 per hour

All employers in Alaska must ensure that the hourly rate paid to employees aligns with the updated minimum requirement.
