Additional Resources and Guidance for CA Pay Data Reporting

The state Civil Rights Division (CRD) released updated frequently asked questions, templates, and a user guide for the 2023 pay data reporting period that applies to employers with 100+ employees. Using the online portal is required for eligible employers to submit annual reports. The 2023 reporting deadline is May 8, 2024.

Private employers with 100+ employees and at least one in California must submit pay data reports covering the previous calendar year. This information must be provided to the state by the second Wednesday in May each year. The requirement is separate from the need to submit an EEO-1 report.
